The Spurs players and backroom staff including Ange Postecoglou have arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of this afternoon’s match against Aston Villa.

Following the international break, the focus shifts back to the Premier League campaign in what is going to be an intense run of games beyond the Christmas period with Tottenham knowing that they could travel to Manchester City next weekend looking to avoid four defeats in a row if they fail to beat Unai Emery’s side today.

Can Spurs end their losing run against Aston Villa?

Villa are certainly a side to take seriously and their tally of 19 points from eight league matches since the September international break is the highest in the division.  Heading into this weekend they have the opportunity to move above Tottenham with a victory.

The Villains beat Tottenham home and away last season and can win three consecutive Premier League matches against them for only the second time, following a run of four from 1994 to 1996.

Among the players spotted arriving in North London were Heung-min Son, Giovani Lo Celso and Rodrigo Bentancur.
